The Big Move

It’s the day after Christmas and all is finally calm and bright. The past couple of months have been one heck of a whirlwind, to say the least. On November 19th, we listed our home for sale. We accepted the buyer’s offer the very next day. The girls and I (unfortunately Tyler didn’t have any time to take off) headed to Vegas to spend Thanksgiving with my Sister and her family, which was much needed! We love getting to spend quality time with them and going on lots of adventures! 

As soon as we got home, it was time to start packing. We had 18 days to move out before our closing date. Basically, we were soon to be homeless. Our best friends invited us to move in with them. This has been a dream for Heather and I for a looooong time! We’ve joked about it before, but now it was going to happen. We accepted their invite.

On December 20th, we moved in. We had our army of friends and family helping us pack up and move out that day. Heather went through her closets and bedrooms and donated a whole lot so we could have the space for our belongings. It took a couple of days to get our belongings unpacked and everything situated. 

And then BOOM, it’s time for Christmas! We all were looking forward to spending Christmas together! The kids woke up at 6:45 Christmas morning. The adults got our coffee and then the fun began. We sat around the tree opening gifts for two hours. It was a very special day that we will always remember! Kierra and I were talking at the end of the night. She told me that being with the Griggs for Christmas was the best. She said she loved looking around and seeing everyone so happy, laughing, and smiling. 

These are the moments we will cherish forever! She said her theme this year for Christmas was valuable. I couldn’t agree more. So now that the Christmas has come and gone; we are able to sit, relax, and enjoy being with each other. That is an update in the life of the Bonneys and Griggs Clan! We are grateful they have opened their home to us, and are excited for the memories that we will make. The good and the bad. Stay tuned for the crazy adventures of the Grooney’s!
